Naumene was founded after one too many missed deadlines, lost billable hours, and late nights spent hunting for documents across five different systems. We knew there had to be a better way.
The problem we set out to solve
Legal ops was broken. We fixed it.
In 2023, our founders — a barrister, a legal ops director, and a software engineer — sat down after a particularly bruising quarter. Three matters had slipped through the cracks. Two invoices had gone out late. One conflict check had been done manually, on a spreadsheet, at midnight.
The tools available to law firms hadn't meaningfully evolved in a decade. Legacy practice management software was expensive, clunky, and built for a world where email was cutting-edge. Firms were stitching together five or six systems and hoping nothing fell through the gaps.
Naumene was built to be the system that actually works — one that understands how legal practice operates, speaks the language of lawyers, and gets out of the way so your team can focus on the law.
